Ballerina-Küchen Gets Award “Winner” Nominated By The Expert Jury of German Design Awards 2018

The jury of experts for design from German Design Award 2018 confirms:

Ballerina-Küchen presents innovative products which are seminal in the national and international design sector.

The Y-Kitchen clearly shows that kitchens – especially kitchen islands – are the central communication platform at homes.

Ballerina introduced the Y-Kitchen at its in-house fair 2016 for the first time. In January 2017 it was presented to the international public on the LivingKitchen fair in
Cologne.

This kitchen was developed together with the Berlin designer Michael Hilgers and inspired everyone. Due to its refined shape it combines design and
communication all in one.

With the award “Winner” for the category “Kitchen” the design of the Y-Kitchen was RECOGNISED once again.

The German Design Award is one of the most important design-competitions worldwide and has a high reputation far beyond specialists. Those who can compete
against the high quality competitors has successfully proved that they belong to the best.

The company Ballerina-Küchen is a medium-sized kitchen furniture manufacturer in Rödinghausen (Bünde/Westphalia) and produces 25,000 individual and high quality kitchens with
the feature “German workmanship“ yearly.

Ballerina belongs to the trendsetters among the German kitchen manufacturers.

The export business is positioned internationally worldwide with a quote of 50 % in 29 different countries. Over the past 10 years, turnover has doubled. For the next
years further turnover gains and the growth of new export countries is planned.

Additionally, Ballerina employs 312 people, including 19 trainees, and has one of the most modern machinery for the individual production with a size of 30,000 sqm.

Ballerina sets market trends, offers a lot of innovations and unique selling points and merchandises in a classic distribution channel worldwide – the kitchen specialised
trade. The product range offers a variety of design possibilities with more than 800 models for the most individual demands.
